Amateur radio operators assisted in the ICC.

We had groups of 3 or 4 as volunteers from WICEN, Wireless Institute Civil Emergency Network, on duty regularly.

Men and women from the NRE (Natural Resources and Environment) and the CFA (Country Fire Authority) had much work to do.

Here Maggie VK3CFI is pointing to a ridge where dozers have been sent.

So WICEN was activated and Carol Tremellen coordinated our activities.

With Phil as our chief, Ken, Gregg, Neil and Maggie followed the advice of the previous group. Those hams showed us how to log and how to manage our shifts.

I am so grateful that I had the opportunity of watching the logging in real time.
